Griffiss Institute Unveils Redesigned Website

ROME, NY – The Griffiss Institute (GI), located at 725 Daedalian Road in Rome, recently unveiled its newly redesigned website. The current site supersedes the prior version, which was designed in 2008, and was a collaboration with New Hartford-based Brockett Creative Group.

The revamped griffissinstitute.org has a number of new and enhanced features, such as:

• A cleaner and more attractive design
• A more engaging user experience
• Easy to use search and navigation
• Calendar of Events with Online Event Registration Capability
• Request a Room Online Reservation
• Pearson VUE Test Center Online Registration

These changes not only provide a user-friendly experience for those seeking information, but they also allow participants in the GI’s various programs to register for them online – a necessity in the age of the internet.

This version of the website showcases the organization’s activities and importance to the region. Griffiss Institute Director of Operations, Regan Johnson said, “Over the years, we’ve learned that the residents of our own area aren’t quite sure what we do. They know that we work with the Air Force Research Laboratory, but they aren’t always aware that we also partner with the Cyber Research Institute for cyber security development and the Information Institute to collaborate on research with New York State colleges and universities. We also administer and host several Science Technology Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) programs for students in fifth through twelfth grades.”

Reservations for events such as seminars and conferences can be made online, as can reservations for Pearson VUE testing for certification and professional licensure exams. “The Griffiss Institute has held numerous cyber security conferences at the facility, to raise awareness about cyber security issues that continue to face the nation, as well as information technology expos that keep attendees apprised of the most up-to-date technologies available for their businesses,” said Griffiss Institute Director, William Wolf.
