Griffiss Institute Now Accepting Applications for 2022 Summer Internship Program at Air Force Research Laboratory Information Directorate

Priority deadline is Monday, January 31, 2022

2022 Summer Intern program

ROME, NY — The 2022 application cycle has now begun for the Summer Internship Program at the Information Directorate of the Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL). This is a paid summer internship opportunity for students currently enrolled in an accredited college or university at the freshman level through PhD level, (U.S. CITIZENS ONLY), to work on-site in Rome, NY with AFRL researchers on a wide variety of research projects.

New for 2022, applicants may choose from a listing of research project topics, that they would like to be considered for. Examples of research topics are available are, Data Efficient Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, IoT, Small Unmanned Aircraft System, Neuromorphic Computing, Trusted Software, Quantum Information Sciences and much more.

The 2022 Summer Internship Program will start on Monday, June 6, 2022, and end on Friday, August 12, 2022.

Traveling and housing assistance is available for those who live more than 50 miles from Rome, New York.

This year, we are especially excited to roll out a new application process, within which students can apply directly to the research projects that interests them the most,” says Tiffany DeLuca, Griffiss Institute Intern Project Lead. “As we do every year, we are looking forward to welcoming another class of motivated and talented students to be part of the exciting work that occurs daily at the Information Directorate.”

Applications are now being accepted for the 2022 Summer Internship Program. Priority deadline is January 31, 2022. Final deadline is March 15, 2022. Selections will begin first week of February 2022.
