Griffiss Institute Names Matthew Mroz as Executive Vice President for Strategic Programs

Rome, NY – July 23, 2024 – Griffiss Institute is pleased to announce the appointment of Matthew A. Mroz as its new Executive Vice President for Strategic Programs. In this role, Mroz will focus on enhancing the Institute’s national reach and influence, spearheading initiatives that foster the development of next-generation STEM talent and technology accelerators. His responsibilities will include leading and scaling programs that create opportunities for economic, technical, and educational advancement across various U.S. regions.

Matthew Mroz brings over 15 years of progressive experience in technology commercialization, academic research and development, and public-private partnerships. His deep expertise in intellectual property management, business development, and strategic partnerships makes him an ideal fit for this critical role. Matt’s entrepreneurial approach and commitment to continuous business improvement have been demonstrated throughout his tenure at The Research Foundation of The State University of New York (SUNY), where he most recently served as Vice President for Industry and External Affairs.
